A Short History of Cleaner Air

In 2005 "Carole-Ann's Mop & Bucket" operated throughout Sunderland and County Durham, specialising in office and restaurant cleaning for competitive prices.  Its owner and sole employee - Carole-Ann Cammiss - mustered an average annual turnover of £25,000.  By 2010, when Carole-Ann's Mop & Bucket temporarily suspended operations, the idea of eco-friendly cleaning in the North East was still an open market practically unheard of.

In 2012, Simon James Troughton and Abigail Sally Podgorski had completed their courses at Birmingham City University in BSc Film Production Technology and PGCE PCET respectively.  With years of experience in business organisation and training, expert marketing plans and awareness of presentation techniques, the two looked to start a new company in an untapped market.  With eco-friendly cleaning still sparse across Sunderland and Carole-Ann Cammiss ready clean again, an idea was born.

After extensive research into the local market, global product distribution alongside pure determination, the idea became a reality.

Cleaner Air: eco-friendly cleaning in Sunderland that looks after the community of Sunderland and its environment.
